Most gifts happen once. You pick something out, you hand it over, and for a moment it says everything you meant it to say. Then it’s Tuesday again, and the moment has passed.
A Note For You started from a simpler idea: the people who matter most to you don’t need one big moment. They need to be reminded, regularly, in small ways, that they’re being thought of. Not a grand gesture once a year — a sentence, most days, for as long as you want it to keep going.
So that’s what it is. You write a collection of notes — for a partner, a parent, a friend, anyone who deserves to hear it — and we deliver one each day (or week, or however often you set it), with a photo if you want to add one, by push notification, email, or text.
Why a single sentence works
There’s nothing complicated about the mechanism. A short note lands, it takes ten seconds to read, and then it’s gone until tomorrow’s. But that repetition is the whole point. One nice thing someone says to you is a compliment. The same warmth showing up again and again, on an ordinary Tuesday when nothing in particular happened, starts to feel like something closer to the truth — this is just how they feel about you, all the time, not just when there’s an occasion for it.
It also takes the pressure off the sender. You don’t have to plan a big surprise or wait for a birthday to say the thing you’re actually thinking. You just write it down, once, in a batch, and let it arrive on its own schedule:
“I don’t say it enough, but I notice everything you do — and I’m grateful for all of it.”
That’s a real note from someone using the app. It’s not a grand statement. It doesn’t need to be. It just needs to show up.
Who it’s for
We built this for the moments that don’t have an obvious gift attached to them — the partner you’ve been with long enough that “just because” flowers start to feel routine, the parent who lives far away and mostly hears from you when something’s wrong, the friend going through something hard who needs a reminder that people are thinking about them even on the days nothing dramatic is happening.
It’s not a replacement for showing up in person. It’s what happens on all the days in between.
How it actually works
You write the notes once, upfront — as many or as few as you want, and you can always add more later. You pick a schedule: daily, weekly, every other week, or monthly. We handle the delivery, on the time and channel you choose. The person on the other end doesn’t need an account or an app — just a link, and however they’d like to hear from you: push notification, email, or text.
That’s the whole idea. Not a bigger gift. A smaller one, on repeat.
